Aircraft Maintenance TechnicianThis position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, replacing, or rebuilding aircraft structures, repair parts, and special tools, in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the company, applicable government agencies, and aircraft manufacturers as contained in approved Maintenance Manuals.BenefitsGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid company holidays401(k) retirement plan with 5% company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesMinimum Requirements and QualificationsExperience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MRO aircraft companyThorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service, including Company policy and procedure manuals, FAR's, AD's, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance ManualsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawingsEfficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc., necessary for the accomplishment of duties assignedUnderstanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignmentMinimum required toolsQualifications to obtain a SIDA badgeHigh School diploma or equivalentThorough knowledge of work to be performed within a given classification and/or a specialized job/operationAbility to use good judgment and make sound decisionsLeadership qualities to include the previously demonstrated ability to cooperate and work with othersAbility to perform high quality work in a reasonable length of time, lead, and direct the work of their employeesAbility to satisfactorily accomplish all job assignments with little or no supervision or instructionAbility to efficiently and accurately read, interpret, and carry out written or verbal instructions, technical orders, operating procedures, and directivesAdditional DutiesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day-to-day operation, not determined at time of hirePhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periodsAbility to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heightsAbility to work with one or both hands extended overheadCorrectable near and far visionAbility to hear at conversational level with hearing aidAbility to lift 25 poundsAbility to handle and maintain control of small parts and to properly operate hand tools
