Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

Location: Chicago Area

Salary: Up to $150,000 + Performance-Based Bonus

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

About the Opportunity

Forge Strategies is partnering with an established electrical contractor in the Chicagoland area seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager .

This position combines electrical estimating, project management, and customer relationship management. We're looking for someone who can walk a jobsite, assess project needs, develop conceptual estimates, prepare competitive proposals, and help execute projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite walkthroughs to evaluate electrical project requirements and develop scopes of work.
\n
• Prepare conceptual estimates, budgets, and proposals, often without completed drawings.
\n
• Determine labor, materials, equipment, and project execution requirements.
\n
• Present proposals, negotiate pricing, and build strong customer relationships.
\n
• Manage electrical projects from initial planning through completion.
\n
• Collaborate with field teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
\n
• Identify additional project opportunities through existing customer relationships.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Experience in commercial or industrial electrical estimating and/or project management.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and construction practices.
\n
• Ability to develop accurate estimates from jobsite walkthroughs without relying solely on completed drawings.
\n
• Experience preparing and presenting proposals directly to customers.
\n
• Accubid Anywhere or Accubid Classic preferred; experience with other estimating software will be considered.
\n
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
\n
